Hallux Limitus / Rigidus (Big Toe painful and popping)
I have full-blown arthritis (RA) and the best way to deal with arthritic inflammation is systemic. Exercise, particularly cardio, is important--if you're already running, that's good--and an anti-inflammatory diet is also important. For me cutting gluten was the main thing, but cutting sugar is also probably one of the biggest things you can do to reduce your systemic inflammation.
I have the same issue with my big toe on my left foot. Been working with a therapist who says it’s due to the muscles in the front of my leg (that run to the left of the shin bone) being super tight. They connect all the way from the knee to the big toe. Ive been stretching it everyday and massaging the whole line and noticed a big improvement and can get it to stop clocking for short periods of time although it hasn’t fully gone away. I just started this about 2 weeks ago. Try it and see if it helps
Gluteal Tendinopathy
Brave AI: However, completely avoiding walking is not recommended, as tendons require some load to maintain health and strength, and inactivity can lead to muscle weakness and joint stiffness. The goal is to walk within a pain-free or minimally symptomatic range, where any discomfort settles within 24 hours. This is known as relative rest, which involves reducing walking volume or intensity to a level the tendons can tolerate, allowing them to heal before gradually increasing load.
